Choosing the right wheel material for any industrial caster must be taken into consideration as that may have an impact on performance and lifetime.
It's essential to recognize which material is best for a certain setting because making the wrong choice might result in safety problems, subpar performance, or damage to the related floors and tracks.

Select the wheel by considering: LOAD: The larger the dia greater the load that can be carried. Rough surfaces or high-impact loads halve the capacity. Roller bearings permit higher wheel loads for hand pushing due to lower friction. SURFACE: The larger a wheel the easier it rolls on all surfaces. On smooth surfaces, hard treads roll easiest, but CONSIDER POTENTIAL FLOOR DAMAGE on rough or soft surfaces soft treads roll easiest. ENVIRONMENT: wet or corrosive – specify the type of chemicals. THREADS, LINT or FLUFF: specify threads guards. HEAT OR VACCUM: Use Phenorex, Reinforced Nylon, or Cast Iron. So that special grease can be used with specify the temperature.

Select the fork by considering: SWIVEL OR RIGID FITTING: How it will be fitted to the trolley. If appropriate - choose the attachment required(if available ) SPRINGS: Improve comfort, protect cargo, and relieve the trolley of impact strain. SWIVEL & WHEEL LOCKS: Make the trolley rigid & stable. DIRECTIONAL LOCK: This allows for good tracking when locked and maximum maneuverability in confined spaces when unlocked.

FITTING: If fixed and Swivel Castors are to be used together, have the fixed castors at the front, and the trolleys turn more easily. Never try to partially insert fittings into a warped trolley to correct the unevenness. With washers, you may modify the position by up to 8 mm, but make sure it doesn't float.Tighten tabular fittings firmly. But do not over tighten. Next, choose the wheel material with the highest level of durability that satisfies the aforementioned requirements.

The technical team at Rexello is always available, eager, and able to help you choose the wheel material that best fits the requirements of your application. To provide a great user experience and a return on your investment, pick the appropriate wheel material prior to using the caster in the application.
