Foot Locks/ Floor locks keep trolleys, carts, mobile racks, or other wheeled equipment stationary. They are an alternative to caster-mounted brakes. The locks have a foot pedal that users step on to engage a spring-loaded brake pad that presses against the floor to create friction and prevent the caster wheels from moving.
